Parent Resources
Partnering in Education
Our parents are valuable and equal partners in educating our students, and it is important for our parents to have meaningful ways to connect with our teachers and staff. Throughout the year, we have various parent meetings so that parents can stay informed and connected with our school. We also welcome your input at these various meetings, so please join us!
Coffee with the Principal
Coffee with the Principal is a meeting open to all parents. This is a great opportunity for parents to stay informed about what is happening at Wilson school-wide and supporting your child during the high school years. A variety of topics will be offered this year. For Fall 2020, meetings will take place via Zoom at 6 p.m. Zoom links will be provided at a later date.

School Site Council
School Site Council or SSC is a shared-decision making body made up of the Principal, teachers/staff, parents and students. SSC members discuss and advise on our school issues and budget, and have voting rights. A major focus of SSC is developing the School Plan and budget each year. Any parent is welcome to attend any of the six meetings that occur in a school year. Upcoming meeting dates can be found here.
English Language Advisory Council
English Language Advisory Council or ELAC is a meeting specifically for parents of English Learners. Parents are invited to learn more about the EL instructional program and budget priorities for the EL program. We also want to hear the valuable input and feedback of EL parents on how we can support English Learners to achieve language proficiency. Translation in Spanish and Chinese is provided. Light refreshments are served.

Grade-level Parent Nights
Every year, our Guidance Counselors host an informational parent night for each grade-level. Information on high school requirements, post-secondary preparation and maximizing student success is shared with parents. Presentations are tailored to each specific grade level. More information and past presentations can be found here.
Drop Off Policy
As a reminder, Wilson High School does not allow items of any kind to be dropped off for student pick up. Exceptions will only be made for medication and glasses, which students can pick up during lunchtime only. Notices for students to claim items will not be sent to classrooms. Thank you for your efforts in preserving the learning environment of our students.
Parent Toolkit
This toolkit will help you navigate your child’s journey from pre-kindergarten through high school. It is designed to help you track and support progress at each stage.
